The YMCA proudly offers services onsite at Acequia Madre Elementary School. Our program encourages children to take the lead while supporting their development through a variety of projects, group games, homework assistance, team building, and communication skill-building activities. Children come directly to the program after dismissal, where they are greeted by YMCA staff and provided with a healthy snack to help them unwind after their day. From there, they continue learning and engaging in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. We also accept New Mexico’s Universal Child Care program. Our program operates from the first day to the last day of the school year, including early dismissal Fridays, ensuring children are safe, engaged, and well cared for after school.

The YMCA afterschool program is offered onsite at Piñon Elementary. Our program emphasizes homework support, leadership and communication skills, team building, and creative expression in a comfortable environment that supports each child’s learning in a fun and safe way. We are a 3-star program, which allows us to accept New Mexico’s Universal Child Care. We are open Monday through Friday and proudly serve children from the first day of school through the last. At the Y, school-age children build lasting friendships, stay physically active, and are given opportunities to be creative and express themselves.

Children have the opportunity to connect with nature, explore their surroundings, and use their creativity to build, discover, and create artwork while staying active outdoors.
